People said the same thing about the Georgiev trade (see trade description), yet it happened.

That may be the trade made for Georgiev but Swayman is much better. You could try an offersheet but doubt Swayman is dealt for less than a really solid prospect and a 2nd/3rd. Boston doesnt even have to trade him so they hold all the cards

If Pitts trades Jake then I hope its for picks and prospects because otherwise just keep him and hope to resign. You can easily get a 1st, top prospect, and good roster player for him

Lol. No.

Not trading Sway unless they are forced to. And won’t be for that if they do.

Who did? I said they’d be lucky to get more than a pair of 3rds for him. He put up backup caliber numbers in NY. Sway has put up #1 numbers, high end #1 numbers.

Swayman would need more.
Petry would net much less.
Guentzel trade would need to be for younger guys not older ones.

I agree with your values but Bos likely needs to move him or Ullmark. Or trade picks with that terrible Hall contract.
Swayman might get a little less than a 1st, A prospect and established player; but not a ton less.

Unless Vegas wants to dump a lot of cap, that's a lot to give up for one year of Guentzel.
Signing Zucker and Severson long term.....seems like you've just added to the Pens problems. Too much cap in players who are the decline

Rangers had Shesterkin as #1 and I believe Georgiev requested a trade. Anyways, Georgiev had one good season in 4 years whereas Swayman has been good for most part of his career and is younger. Most importantly, Bruins are highly likely to not move Swayman. Remember Pens letting Fleury go and going with the younger Murray? Same thing here.

Swayman is Patrick Roy compared to George.

If 2x$6M for a top6 player is a terrible contract, I will gladly keep him.

We don’t have to trade either goalie. If we do though it’s 100% Ullmark.

Agree to disagree on need buy I will agree that it's likely Ullmark.

Who's the top 6 guy? Hall? I don't know how much he is a top 6 guy. He has what, 2 great seasons? Hasn't scored more than 20 goals in a season in 6 years. I don't think a guy who scores 15 goals a year is a top 6. Maybe a middle 6.

As long as we trade Forbort and Hall we can keep both goalies.

That's possible. Throw out Coyle too

Maybe if Petry is 50% retained I might consider.
