It is illegal and it’s one of the main reasons it is unwatchable.

That’s the thing though. Nothing really happened. There was one meh fight between Schneider and McLeod. Some other pushing and shoving. But refs took pre-emptive approach.

Never understood that. When I was playing bantam many many moons ago, an all girls team was in the tournament we were playing at. Their league didn't allow checking. But when they came to play against all dudes, they threw themselves around like I've never seen. They put us young bucks to shame. Kids were getting railed all tournament by them. They ended up winning the gold lol.

I mean, if you prefer watching hockey with hitting, that's fine. But I'd rather they removed it ... I personally find hitting boring, but I mostly want to see it removed to reduce the amount of injuries.

I'm not saying I want them to remove competitiveness ... women's hockey is competitive, but there's no hitting.

Only 2 teams have a chance to sweep their opponents ( NYR and Carolina ), we seem to be headed towards a very competitive playoff run with little to no sweeps
