He was so unbelievably ass with MTL that I'm not sure if his good play with Dallas was nothing more than a flash in the pan. I think the 2nd year is gonna hurt.

2 years makes it a potentially bad signing

He played well with Benn and Johnston. Would've hoped a bit cheaper deal with that term, but it ain't breaking the bank. Not too bad.

I guess you could spend 2 million dollars a lot worse than this

Good PP specialist and overall solid offensive middle sixer. Seemed to have chemistry with Dallas so not bad eh.

Those voting no didn't watch him play with the Stars. Solid signing, I'm fine with it.

Considering the fact that even if he is garbage, the Stars still have several contracts that are way bigger issues so this deal isn’t a concern for me

As a Stars fan, I like it. He played really well with Benn and Johnston. I feel like Nill is cooking something else up to potentially be able to bring back Domi and get a top-4 D man in here...

They're only paying him 2.25M. It's not like it's 2x5M. He's been solid as a bottom 6 guy.

It's way better than spending 250k for a one way trip to the ocean floor, that's for sure.

Anyone thinking this is bad is just a Montreal fan; probably the same ones trying to tell us Stars fans that Gurianov was gonna be great once he left Dallas. Not sure I trust their judgement.

Considering how he play in Dallas, this definitely looks like a worthwhile risk. If it fails, it's just 2 years of 2.5M... that ain't bad at all.

In Montreal he looked horrid, in Dallas he looked good, deal seems fine, year 2 might age badly

The CEO, who died, bragged about ignoring safety norms. If you have the money to spend $250,000 on a sub trip, you have the money to research the company. No sympathy.

Exactly my thoughts. It's a great number, but I'm not sure how well he will do in the second year. Then again, the cap could go up enough that it won't really matter, as long as he's able to play 4th line minutes. Any worse than that and you could probably put him in LTIR.

I love how people go from ''He's ass'' to ''What a great contract'' in a 39 game span.
Dude was a cap dump a year ago and had an ok run with Dallas so it warrants a two year deal WITH AN M- NTC?! Come on folks.
