Holl is easily a #4 dman and if he wasn't in Toronto under the microscope he wouldn't be thought of the way we knee jerk when he's mentioned.

Loved him in the bubble but he's a very irregular guy. That DET defense doesn't look good at all (on the veteran side).

Chiarot? No, that's ****ing terrible, one of the worst contracts in the league. Holl getting more than 3 Million is a decent contract (not great) if he's played like he's suppose to be played.

Leafs fans are out today. #4D to hold the spot for ASP. Chiarot/Walman/Holl combine for 11.5m for 3 years and Maatta 3x2. Seider and Edvinsson can grow, Johansson and Wallinder after.

He's a solid bottom pairing guy. If you need someone to suppress a teams depth offense, this is your guy. He's solid at it. But throwing him out as a shut down D against a top 6 offense? Don't rely on him. Sometimes it'll work. Sometimes it won't. Not sure where Yzerman is going with this, cause could be not great if he's planning on slotting Holl in anywhere other than 3RD.
