Description
READ DESCRIPTION.

NYLANDER TRADE----}Based off Kessel deal.
-TOR trades a slightly misunderstood RW to PIT to shed cap.
-PIT trades Harrington(D)/Kapanen(RW)(better prospects), Harrington(4th line forward), 1st, 3rd to TOR for Kessel, 2nd---2015
-PIT trades Riikola(D)/Poulin(RW/LW)(top prospect/young D), Rodrigues(3rd line forward), 1st, 3rd to TOR for Nylander, 2nd---2020

JOHNSON TRADE----}Based on Gudbranson deal.
-PIT trades an overpaid 3rd pair D that everyone thinks has negative value to ANA without giving up anything. Enough said.

KEMP TRADE----}Based on Marino deal.
-PIT trades an extremely late pick to EDM for a college RH defenseman picked in that round. This D-man is at a school renowned for brains and is relatively unknown but will instantly make an impact.
-PIT trades 6th to EDM for Marino

OLEKSIAK TRADE----}Based on Oleksiak trades 1 and 2.
-Oleksiak traded from DAL/PIT for a 4th. Again.

BJUGSTAD/LAFFERTY TRADE----}Based on Brassard/Sheahan trade.
-PIT trades a #3C that didn't work out and a #4C to Florida for a different #3C/#4C to help the other team clear salary. PIT adds a few picks to upgrade their centre depth.

LEGARE TRADE----}Based on Spring trade.
-PIT trades young forward to ANA for young D.

Buyout Horny to make team cap compliant.

MURRAY TRADE----}Another Idea.
Both are 25 year old goalies. Peterson has only played 19 games in his career, and MM has 2 cups and LAK has the $$ to resign him. I like Roy so I threw him in as well. PIT gives up 1st(best pick) but gets some other lower picks to replenish the many traded away.
PIT may be giving up too much. Not sure about Peterson's value. Roy's value is about a 3rd I think.

-Most of the trades are based off past ones. Read description.
-The Murray idea is one I haven't seen before.
-The top-6 is stacked now and Johnson gives the 3rd line better offense.
-I'm not familiar with Kemp from EDM. I just needed a college D-man.

Nylander>>>>>Kessel, TOR isn't rebuilding, and Nylander is younger than Kessel was (I would assume)

I like Kemp, ig I wouldn't complain about that trade

I don't see DAL taking Oleksiak now, but it would be hilarious

You severely underrate Roy, he's the best d man on the kings

Kings pass... they “need” Roy and Peterson will be fine in net for the kings and he’s cheaper, for now

Imo pretty much every deal gets declined. Why though?

TOR trade - Riikola's and Rodrigues' trade value is nonexistent due to the fact that PIT is not re-signing them. Therefore one can consider them as UFAs. Essentially that TOR trade becomes Poulin+1st+3rd for Nylander+2nd which is obviously will be declined. It's not like Pens would take a Liljegren+1st+3rd for Guentzel+2nd deal, right?

ANA trade(s) - Johnson is completely unnecessary for the Ducks. They're stacked with 3rd pair LHDs. That Mahura for Legare trade could work though.

DAL trade - as a DAL fan it would be hilarious having a 3rd Oleksiak for a 4th rounder trade. But frankly I think this time we'll be better off with just keeping him.

TB trade - I think Pens is the one who declines this. They're paying too much for a player TB should be looking to move. Johnson for 2nd should be enough. Imo Lafferty is better option than Stephens.

LA trade - Dunno what they need with Murray. LA isn't competitive in years, so acquiring a goalie shouldn't be in their interest. I mean, they just moved Campbell for this exact reason. Petersen and Roy are parts of their long-term plan. Also it's not wise asset management in any way to lose all first rounders for the next 3 years for PIT.
