1 for 1 would have been ok. A healty Anderson has high potential and will be way more @capfriendly

Bergy is sprinkling picks like

Anderson was on pace for 13 points this season if he played a full 82 game season ... he was great in 2018-19 but Domi was even better ... basically every season Domi has been better than Anderson IMO.

Yes it does but money can be worth it for the right player at the right price

And Domi is not the right player at his expected price. Anderson can replace Danault (obviously a drop off but whatever) and Danault can be used to go after laine. This is just proof nobody thinks Domi is worth his next contract but they wont take less.

AKA exactly what I've been saying for the last year.

A 3rd round pick and an injury-prone middle 6 winger for a former 70 pts player? Well done, Jarmo!

OMG this is such a great trade.
No more Max Domi for 50 1st round picks. and Josh Anderson for a 3rd posts. We ALL win this one.

He was involved in a trade for a third.

domi will cost 4 times as much as anderson.

does money literally not factor into all of your small brains?

Okay... I'll trade you Nic Dowd for Elias Pettersson, since Pettersson is going to cost much more. I expect that you will accept, or does money literally not factor into your small brain?

He even added a 3rd... wtf was Marky Mark thinking. Unless Columbus is about to sign Domi to a ridiculously bad contract,, he just got fleeced.

Anderson has scored 0.5 p/gp in a year once ... Domi has all 5 years of his career.

Anderson has had to deal with injuries. I am not saying this is a fair trade. Columbus clearly wins it, but this is far from the "massive fleece" everyone on here is making it out to be.

On paper this looks ridiculously lopsided. Watch out for CBJ. They still have the cap space to make big moves this offseason. On the other side, MB must be betting that JA rebounds from last season and returns to his 2018-19 form. That being said, he just traded away a young Winger who's totaled 116 points over the last 2 seasons. Anderson has only 51 points, albeit in 45 fewer games. This looks like a major coup for Jarmo, who has established himself as a highly efficient and decidedly underrated GM.

Yes, I wrote it wrong. That makes it even more bad for Montreal.

Just to play devil's advocate, Anderson brings a lot of toughness and physicality that MTL needs and Columbus already has. He's a strong candidate for a major bounce back season next season.

Now what we’re all wondering, what number does he wear if we sign Kovalchuk? Does Kulak give up 77 and choose a new number, or does Anderson choose a new number?

And if they don’t sign Kovalchuk, does Kulak return to 17, or does he stay at 77?

These are the important questions that need answering.

I'm not really sure where the offense is gonna come from for MTL next season. They must be planning on making Taylor Hall a big offer or maybe an offer sheet.
