You beat a team that had to ice a bunch of AHLers due to covid and injuries.

Yeah but last time we did that we lost 7-1 sooooooo

Kase is without a doubt one of my favourite Leaf additions Dubas has made. He plays with such a reckless abandon, every time he touches the ice I’m like “oh **** get up” cause he has been a player the Leafs have missed.

That line is the best defensive line in hockey right now IMO.

Damn it. Betting for every team playing against Arizona was the closest thing to a real-life money glitch.

Well you can do that with Vancouver and you’d probably have a better chance of winning

I would just like to point out that Philip Broberg is currently a point per game in the NHL, that is something that Trevor Zegras and Cole Caufield are not

He's also played 1 game, I guess he's better than Marner, Matthews, Nylander too since they're not point-per-game

Dont bring us into your squabble thanks

Not all hockey arguments got to involve the leafs lul

Should have just used oilers examples like Hyman, Puljujarvi, and Nurse

Anyways all prospects mentioned before hand will have fine NHL careers

I am just poking fun at the fact that everyone was criticising picking Broberg a Dman over a really good winger to play with McDavid in 2019 but in 2021 the Oilers have JP living up to his protentional next to McDavid and with Holloway, Bourgault, and Savoie on the way where as our defence could really use a young exciting player on his elc like Broberg

Just gonna quickly point out that Nylander is well below a point per game for his career. Never had a season at or above it in his career so far. The other two are (though Marner is walking a tightrope rn), just wanted to clear that up.

Don't call yourself an idiot, nobody can just remember the career PPG of any player in the league, it's alright. smile

it's just that I went and checked Nylanders stats before I posted and skimmed over it and I have also ways been bad at reading numbers my past math teachers will tell you that.

I'd love to see 60-year old Cole Sillinger break the goals record from my rocket-propelled rocking chair in the year 2064, but that's assuming Ovechkin doesn't bring the record well over 1,000 and force Cole to play into his 70's.

For a change a good read about how Blashill/ Red Wings analyze scoring chances.
It had a few good points, especially not just watching blindly shot position, and taking onto measure the distance/hastiness goalie had the to move.
I have always been somewhat skeptical towards overuse of different statistics, but this article had some merit in it.

Wonder how long it would take Drai or Am34 to break the record…..

I’m putting good money down they’d get it done before ‘63-‘64

Rocket-Propelled Rocking Chair sounds like a great name for a band.

Lol, you'd have to assume Cole's goal pace slightly goes up every year though until he hits like 30 then it slowly falls down. I have never taken computing classes but I still have a formula to calculate NHL Draft average rankings so I think I'm decently self-taught ( don't ask me to do any other computing thing though lol )

I did a thing

Put together a squad of guys from the city of Calgary. Pretty sure Calgary has the best starting lineup of any city, threw some other big hockey cities in there for comparison.
