Wow this is even worse than the usual Montreal trade with the Flames - Dvorak and Monahan are virtually interchangeable with Byron offsetting the cap difference - so you want Pelletier just because?

A Pens first fan created this ACGM so doesn't have the same biases as a Habs or Flames fan but it is still an overpayment as you said. In fact many of his trades are tilted in Habs favor.

Not enough people enjoy the irony of trading away from Jesper Wallstedt to select Xavier Bourgault, only to trade Bourgault for a career backup goalie one year later.

hahaha very true. I wanted Wallstadt, but in fairness he's likely 3-4 years away. In saying that, its also a lot easier to trade for a starting goalie if an elite goalie prospect is headed the other way rather than a forward prospect from the Q.
