Interested to see if Blumel gets a shot on the 2nd line (or just a place holder for now if Gurianov is just maintenance). He has been tearing up the AHL.

Gurianov has been pretty bad so hopefully for Dallas Blumel runs with it

Time to trade Gurianov imo. Love the guy, but he just doesn't seem to have a future in Dallas.

I'd prefer to just trade him for a mid round pick than have him Strome'd or Kubalik'd somewhere else.

In no particular order & believe me there is NO #1 issue in Canook-ville (the list of issues is numerous & longer than Santa's). For BB:
* Can't stay healthy
* $6.6Million reasons in a Capped-out club
* Streaky production
* Now 25yrs old (26y in Feb.) - his prime is not x-actly matching with the perceived club window that was Hughes-EP-Boeser-Bo-Demko...

Trading Demko would get them the most pieces, but it would probably be a mistake to trade him. Especially because they don’t have a RD to sell to Buffalo for one of their goalie prospects lol (one of the few teams with an expendable, good young goalie, and they arguably could get rid of 2 of them). I woulda traded Miller this summer, not sure you can dump him now. BoHo should get a 1st+prospect at least. Kuzmenko is probably worth keeping around for his chemistry with Petey. Boeser can be dealt for whatever you can get, not sure what his value is these days honestly.

The issue rn with Demko his value be dropping thanks to this poor play. If they wanted to trade him it would have been better last year but then it would have been stupid to do so.

To me I see Garland, Horvat or Miller, Boeser, Lazar, and Schenn getting moved

Garland and Horvat would probs get them the best return

Don’t think Demko’s irl value has shifted much lol. Nobody is gonna take like 10 subpar games over a couple years of near elite play. His fantasy value is through the floor, sure. If the Canucks trade him though, someone would give them a haul. If I’m the Leafs, I’d give up 2023 1st + Niemela + Knies for him in a heartbeat, that’s the guy that can cover some of your weaknesses and steal you games when Matthews and co. aren’t stealing you games by outscoring people. Demko’s a top 7 goalie on individual skill imo, maybe top 5.
