There was some report going around that Tampa had interest in him 50% ret and the ask was Howard + Duke and a 1st in 2027 or something

Gonna point to this if anyone ever says that CF users couldn't make better roster management decisions than real life GMs.
Absolutely shocking if there's any truth to this.

It really never was. That was Sportsnet trying to make some news.

Matthews last year was the best goal scorer in the league. IMO he still is a top 5 center (everyone goes through slumps), and as soon as he gets some confidence back he'll be just fine. Can't judge a player with a proven track record for a down year, or down couple of weeks for that matter.
