Huge for the Sharks Organization. If they can develop their prospects well they will be a force in the future

I'm guessing he was looking for immediate playing time along with a team that will have cap space when his ELC is up.

Great pickup, even if he doesnt live up to all of the hype there is no doubt that he will be a bonafide NHLer. Never hurts to add youngsters for free, and Graf is a real nice addition to that prospect pool. Awesome for San Jose

Was it a good signing? we'll find out. Its a low risk signing. If he turns out to be an NHLer then awesome. If he doesn't then you move on at the end of the ELC. Seems like every year NCAA UDFA get hyped up and they almost never live up to that hype.

Most NCAA FA's don't do much past being a bottom of the lineup player. Will Graf break that, maybe, either way, good signing

He probably chose San Jose because he'll slot into the top six immediately, whereas anywhere else he'd be either on the fourth line or working up from the AHL.

kinda similar to Jack McBain, he was not a UFA per say tho, but he kinda chose his destination

Zero risk, so a good signing, if he actually becomes a regular- then its a steal. he was the #1 college FA this year, and i wouldnt be surprised if he does get a few games in the nhl next year,
