He has no points and only 10 SOG in 8GP this season., despite averaging over 15 mins per game in TOI. He looks totally invisible on the ice so far this season. If they try to send him down to Hartford, he might refuse to report and demand a trade, like Lias Andersson and Vitali Kravtsov did. Do they ride it out with him? At what point do you take him out of the lineup, 20 games? Sooner? He's a major liability for a team that already ranks near the bottom of the NHL in Goals scored.


I’d put Kakko on PP1 and put him on the 1st line with Kreider and Zibanejad. Kakko’s underlying numbers were solid last season, I think It’s just a confidence thing with him. Last resort send him to Hartford for a bit.

I think Lafrenieres play is more concerning.

He's awful but Rangers should send him to Finland, what the OIlers did with JP

Keith Petruzzelli is 4-0 with a .976 save percentage in his first four pro games with the Growlers. He has surrendered just three goals on 127 shots. First pro shutout today. One goal against in each of the previous three starts.

Hopefully Keith can become the first goalie in a long long long time the Leafs have been able to develop there own internal goalie. I look at the success of Vitek Vanecek, who played 34 ECHL games before moving on to the AHL then finally the NHL. It probably won’t be next year but excited for Keith’s future with the Leafs

That's an interesting poll tbh. I would have voted for Joel Edmundson but he was not an option. I voted for Lucas Raymond.

Laf

Even without see Laf this year I go that order. I’m a huge fan of him as a Canadian but other than that I think Stutzle is going to be more dynamic player if he hits his full stride and Raymond I think has a high ceiling point wise than both of them.

I mainly chose him as he has blown my mind. I didnt expect him to be NHL ready that quick but he is already playing in the top 6 and doing relatively well. Just needs to work on his faceoffs but that can be improved with time.

Then you got the fact centers who make it to the league around his age usually are drafted within the top 5. Also prefer to build around a young center than a wing.

In general though, Columbus robbed Chicago thats for sure what a steal.

Speaking of Ullmark I think the Bruins would like a refund. People were hyping him as a top-tier starting goaltender.

He’s 3-2 with a .918 lol, he’s not Tuukka Rask but he hasn’t been bad, and it’s only been 5 games. Swayman’s 2-2 with a .900 as well so he’s clearly been their better goalie, and he’s done better than guys like Kuemper, Hellebuyck, Grubauer, Talbot, etc. so far. He’s been fine and he’ll be fine, this is about what you’d expect for 5mil.

Generally if I’d be building a team I’d choose a center, but laf is inching closer to bust territory. It’s still early in his career, but he’s been amazingly underwhelming.

That said, I agree with you and I’d choose Raymond

Boston makes him look better than he is. Save percentage is heavily dependent on shot location, shot quantity, shot quality. Behind defensive juggernauts in McAvoy & Carlo as well as a good defensive system overall he should be better. Grubauer is a fraud too and Talbot shouldn't be given full starter duties.

Im not gonna argue for this year but last year he had the opposite and still had a winning record on the Buffalo Sabres.
