It's nice to get the uncertainty about Fabbri's future with the Wings cleared up, and this contract is a pretty nice deal for both the player and the team. As a great middle-six scorer and an even better guy, it's awesome to see that Fabbs will be here for the foreseeable future.
I honestly feel it would have been better to trade him at the deadline as to me this seems like an overpay.
Detroit doesn't need to trade their roster players for picks anymore, they just need time for their prospects to grow. Beside its not like they don't have the money.
Seems a bit high but not crazy. Fairly low risk with the short term and no no-move or heavy signing bonuses. They’ve got him locked up for what should be his best three years.
