My question is, is Tkachuk actually dirty though? He’s definitely an agitator, but he’s not like Marchand going out slewfooting and licking people. I’m curious as to why people put them in the same category when he hasn’t done something nearly as bad as that. And even then, the only people I see complaining about Marchand are Leafs fans who are salty that they keep losing to Boston.

In his 1st year he elbowed Doughty, outside of that he's exactly the same as his brother

Wow. I know we all rip into him a lot on this website, but I really hope he’s ok. The suddenness of it for a guy that loved being a GM is concerning.

If JR wants a front office job but in a lesser (maybe advisory?) role I would bet the house Guerin would hire him in a second.

Draisaitl isn't an agitator like Tkachuk

Fantasy Question: I have EDM D Tyson Barrie on my team. He's been a major disappointment so far statistically. I need someone who's watched EDM's games to give me some advice. What is Barrie's long term outlook offensively? Will he be taken off of the #1 PP unit (maybe he has already)? Is someone like Josh Morrissey, Noah Dobson, or Justin Faulk a better play for the rest of the season? I'm in a standard league with G, A, +/-, PPP, Shots, and Hits. Specifically, which of the aforementioned Defensemen should I pick up, or should I stick it out with Barrie? Thx.

Nah, Kansas City Patricks.
I wanna see Brady v Mahomes and see Mahomes slap Brady into retirement. I hope Mahomes can dethrone Brady as GOAT one day. I’m a Broncos fan but can’t help but like him

Lets go roughriders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he already had his shot being the #1PP D long term on an offensive powerhouse last year. Was awful at both ends of the rink last year, and it hasn't changed. Morrissey is better.

He wasn't on PP1 last night, Nurse was. IMO Morrissey might be a good bet. he's currently averaging 4 min a night on the PP (that will probably normalize though but he is the PP1 QB)

Never heard of the interim guy. But there are a lot of good replacements out there

I have to say I'm loving the Leafs rn. Not even brutally frustrated which is shocking.

D looks solid. Holl looks really good. Bogo is improving. Lehtonen is improving. I like it.

Andersen had one meh game and has been good ever since. Campbell was good before injury.

Core 4 up front is FLYING. So much competition in the bottom 6, it's really keeping guys on their toes and playing their best.

Most noticeable is core 4 dominance and the step forward that Holl has taken imo.

Sure they followed up the dominant period by letting the Flames get back into it but the Leafs I know would have blown that game, not hold in for the W.

I agree they are so much better. It's early but I expect them to win the Canadian division (playoffs and regular season).

They've been pretty good so far. I'm still waiting for a decisive win from them though.

It will be tight, don’t count out Montreal or Calgary

Did a non-Flames fan just give Calgary some respect? I'm mesmerized

I really doubted Montreal before the season, mostly because I thought while their goaltending situation improved the sheer amount of changes they made would lead to a lack of synergy.

So far I can openly admit to eating my own words on that prediction.

Even though Toronto got all 4 points in the 2 game series with Calgary, the games were really close and if Flames had showed up for the first period yesterday or didn't deflect 2 goals into their net in game 1 I honestly think it could have been the other way around. I think Toronto, Calgary, and Montreal are all poised to make the playoffs and Winnipeg is the frontrunner for the 4th spot.

I've liked a lot of individual elements of their games in separate performances, but there hasn't been a game yet where they've really put it all together. Been pretty happy with them so far, though.

I'd be shocked if Edmonton, Vancouver or Ottawa made playoffs tbh
