Do you think ANA will try to acquire his brother Lic as well?

Fair deal, but I'm bias so I'm going Montreal

Montreal - Perreault has finishing ability, with legit middle 6 potential.

Anaheim - Mysak is a PKing bottom 6 projected center.

Both still very young, and the sky is the limit. Mysak wasn't ever going to be given a legit shot in Montreal, where Perreault will.

#48 overall pick in 2020 ..... versus ..... #27 overall pick in 2020 who actually played a NHL game before, who is also from Montreal and is the son of a former Habs player

That's a win for Montreal in my book.

Oh wow. I like it as a MTL fan. Mysak is going to be a bottom 6 NHLer at the absolute best. Probably is more likely to be a forever tweener. Perreault is certainly boom or bust at this point but has a higher ceiling so its decent gamble. Habs need more high end guys and less of what they have in Laval right now.

Seeing a lot of Laval games myself I can say that Mysak's really starting to be comfortable in the AHL racking up points lately (Because of call ups he's been pushed up the lines) but I don't see an NHL future at all for him. Likely a guy like Jean Sebastien Dea where he's very good in the AHL and might get a crack or two in the NHL but simply becomes invisible in those stints so he's sent back down.
I like it much better with Perreault in my books, fair deal because of two struggling guys but I'm taking Jacob's upside all day.

Bergevin really hitted those back to back 2nds with a struggling Mysak and a powerforward that can't even get a PPG in his fourth NCAA year (Basically a 2nd rounder spent on Condotta). Good job Jack.

I prefer this for the Ducks because I really like Mysak, but Perrault is no slouch and is also from Quebec which is always a plus for the Habs. I think value wise this is probably fair, and both guys needed a change, but i think Mysak will be better for the Ducks than Perrault would have been. Still really like this for the Habs though

Sure, Mysak is kinda stuck behind guys like Rohrer, Kapanen, Beck, etc, we have an excess of centre prospects and Perreault has a lot of potential.

I think overall, this is a fair deal, maybe slight advantage to Montreal

As a habs fan, part of me is happy and the other part of me is sad.

It kinda sucks to lose Mysak, I had such high hopes for him before and I think he could end up being a 4th line C.

On the other end, Jacob Perreault is a former 1st round pick in 2020 and he's from Montreal. On top of that he has only 2 less points than Mysak and played 17 less games than him.

Also worth mentioning, on Scott Wheeler's prospect pool ranking:

Perreault was the #9 prospect for Anaheim's #5 Prospect Pool
Mysak wasn't even listed (top 15) on Montreal's #10 Prospect Pool.

lol what is Kent Hughes doing.

Perrault is a bust plain and simple, whoever says he’s good has never watched him play a game of hockey in their life, he’s lost and has no hockey sense.

Thank you Montreal.

Montreal doesn't really need Mysak we have about 5 other Mysak's in our prospect pool, Perreault is very boom or bust but we could at least use a guy like Perreault

Fair change of scenery deal for 2 struggling prospects.
Plus I was a fan of Yanic back in the day and it’s pretty cool to bring his kid in that was actually born while his pops was a Hab.

Slightly surprising to me because I would have thought that we would keep the RW inasmuch as we're not strong or deep there, so this can't be explained away as a change-of-scenery or handedness deal. I'm hoping that this works out for all four parties. Perreault has the higher upside but it's saying something that the scouting staff thought we could give up on him this early. I would have waited another year -- what's the hurry to acquire a guy who'll compete with Nathan Gaucher, Nikita Nesterenko and Carey Terrance?

For everyone saying Mysak needed a change of scenery, I don’t think he needed one. He was stuck behind veterans AHLer like Mitch Stephens, Brendan Gignac who are good scorers in the AHL. MTL traded Mysak because they had a surplus of players like him (Owen Beck, Oliver Kapanen) and both these guys have better potential & floor. MTL are lacking right handed wingers … simple has that
Good deal for both side, huge fan of Mysak. Plays like Hagel & Lehkonen, just with less talent (who might be the problem to become a full time NHLer)
