Seems like an overpay for a depth piece, no?

Kind of a steep price for what Duhaime is, but he will be a great addition to that bottom 6. Ive always been a fan of Duhaime, he's defensively capable and moves nicely. His first NHL goal always puts a smile on my face too, has to be one of the best 1st goals of all time

Kinda but 26 3rd's likely worth a 24 4th at this time so eh.

Duhaime is a former 4th round pick and a pending UFA playing 10 minutes a night on the 4th line for a mediocre team.

And his 2 playoff runs for Minnesota are nothing to write home about.

He is not worth a 3rd round pick.

Minnesota wins the trade.

I Voted Fair Deal, but COL could easily be the Winner, especially if he re-signs with them

Duhaime seems underrated from what I can tell. He can put the puck in the net and deliver a ton of hits for the very little ice time he gets. He’s got a Big Body and can Kill Penalties too. Good Addition for the Avalanche imo

A late 3rd that probably doesn’t turn in to an NHL Player for a Young + Experienced + Useable = Actual NHL Player they can likely re-sign for cheap is nothing AFAIC

You can afford it if you're the Avs, but it's still too expensive and their top draft picks are starting to dry up.

Slight overpay for a depth player but Avs seem to be going all in

I like this for the Avs. Duhaime will fit in nice on their 4th line in exchange for a pick that MIGHT sniff the NHL in 2029.

RIP the Canucks ACGMs saying Duhaime is worth a 6th or a 7th.

I don't really think this is an overpay like many people think. The pick isn't till 2026 so it has less value right now

Knew he was gone. Would've liked to see a couple of MNC players shipped out instead. Fair return. The 2026 will probably be a higher pick than the next 2 years looking at COL lineup and will be more useful to MN during their window.

This is a tough one. Ever since his hit on Byram two years ago. I didn't like him. But with that said, the avs need some snarl. Manson is really the only guy left with some snarl. With him and Mackinnon. But both were so important to our cup win. That I don't want to see either in the box in the playoffs. Duhaime brings that snarl. He brings that mean. And that'll help come playoff time. It'll take some time for me to cheer for him in an avs sweater. But it'll come.

Kinda an overpay but I'm sure he'll be better than Kiviranta. We'll see how this goes

I liked Duhaime as a target for the devils. Good work by the Avs. Very tidy deadline they’ve had

Two guys I've been saying NJD should get for line 4 all year. Fantastic work by Sakic here. Tbh I think I'm putting my money on them to win the cup. Such a tidy deadline

Third rounder for that guy seems rather steep.

Avs got fleeced.

A good fit for the Avs even if the price is a little steep.

btw- Sakic isnt the GM anymore- he is President of Hockey Ops, Chris McFarland is the Avs GM.
