As a leafs fan, this is a pretty big overpayment for intangibles. Although, if we go far this year i'll be okay with it. And it's definetly an odd draft this year.

It's a lot.

This had better be a home run

Jarmo has been making out like a bandit this deadline. Absolutely ridiculous that he got 2 1sts, a 3rd, and a 4th for Foligno and Savard as rentals.

This is way too much for the Leafs to give up for Foligno.

Overpayment, but like Tampa, if they win the cup it's worth it. Otherwise it's a lose. I'll vote Columbus wins

Good year to trade a 1st, especially for a playoff team. It'll be quite random in terms of what you get because the juniors are not/barely playing. Exciting pickup for Toronto!

It's incredibly expensive for Toronto but the goal is the Stanley Cup and Foligno is a great third line winger who could stabilize a very effective shutdown line.

To be honest I'm happier giving up the first this year than one of Toronto's prospects.

Called it. Keks will get a first for Foligno.

He's a top tier GM. Gaining two firsts for meh players are some legendary tier moves.

I like when people "screamed" at my posts for saying Foligno will cost TOR a first. CBJ wouldn't part with their captain for less. Obviosuly CBJ fairs very well here but Foligno is going to help the Leafs depth and I think he honestly can be a part of getting them out of the first round. SJS obviously gets a pick for doing nothing but I'd think CBJ wins this - though I do believe Foligno will be supringsly useful compared to just making fun of the Leafs for giving up a first. The Leafs dont lose this in my opinion for now.

What a way for Columbus to start a rebuild. Already three 1st rounders for this year.

The Blue Jackets are straight up robbing this Deadline. 2 1sts for Foligno and Savard (both rentals).

Jarmo is playing Franchise Mode on Rookie Difficulty.

What confidence do you have in your ability to pick a difference maker in any round this year? I mean a first is still a lot but it'll be a late round pick and I don't think they carry anywhere near as much value this year.

If Foligno is worth a 1st round pick, then Hall is worth a 0th round pick

Yes, Columbus is very smart for getting firsts from teams crushed against the cap. We're gonna see more of the same from him next season.

Could be in the 20-25 range depending on how this works out. Only thing going for the Leafs is they are likely to win the division

I don't like it, but the Leafs need to try and make a run this year.

I like Foligno, I hate the cost. at least they have room to add more but this is a lot of draft capital to burn

Overpayment but these are the moves you make when you go all in. I still would have tried to go after Hall.

Wow. Any believe some of the statements here. Foligno at a quarter of salary for a first in a weak draft and two picks that usually amount to nothing? That’s a great deal. Foligno is the type of player we’ve been searching for for years.
