This man got no performance bonuses? That's awful.

Unless full details aren't out yet.

Edit: I definitely jumped the gun. Lots of performance bonus money for him.

Does this mean he’s playing for the team?

EDIT: That’s worded poorly. Does this mean he’s not going back to college?

Full details aren’t out, that’s usually what CF does for ELCs.

Fair enough, I just assumed ARZ was that cheap.

He'll be a prime trade piece for draft picks in 3 years when his ELC is up and the Coyotes embark on yet another rebuild

In fact, maybe the real 1OA of this draft should have been Cooley, and not Wright or Slafkovsky...

Big sigh of relief for the Yotes. If he had gone back to college, they'd start getting nervous.

cant wait to see what he does next year. Everyone seems to be saying he would go #1 in a redraft while only playing in junior hockey. Now its gonna be great to see how slaf, wright, nemec and jiricek compare next year.

Playing in a college arena either way, but this way you make almost a million doing it.

Cooley is going from 12,000 person arena and A+ facilities in Minnesota…to 4,500 person arena and C+ facilities in Arizona.

Yes he can not go back and play college hockey now that he has signed a professional contract.

So likely NHL or AHL this year.

Don't look at the defense, but Arizona built a very competitive top 12 this summer. About damn time.
