It's starting to look like the Jets are trying to win a cup. These next 4 years are going to be really interesting, especially with the young talent climbing up the depth chart

Good for Winnipeg to lock up a top 6 forward and provide some stability for the franchise going forward. The AAV is really good for what he provides; I'm sure the last year or so will be a little high but the cap increase should offset that easily; but it's low for now so evens out.

Would have gone 2 years...but good AAV and at least its not 4-5 years.

So lean towards good.

How is it a steal? Its an okay deal.. about 40p player who has okay defencive skills... why would you pay more than 4M for that kind of a player?

I am very happy for Nino. I followed him a lot when he was playing in Wild. Still one of my favorite NHL players. Good signing for team too. Nino also always go to represent Switzerland when possible. He like to play hockey and is good role model. Always remember to smile and not causing problems in lockerroom. Also solid 40-50 point player who has skills to put higher points too.

Good signing for WPG, fair value. It kind of reminds me of the Coleman signing with CGY, except with a slightly better cap-hit and term. He won't wow you with his offense, but constantly push the puck up the ice. Appleton - Lowry - Niederreiter has been the best line for the Jets IMO.

As long as he doesn't block any upcoming prospects from your lineup, it will be a win-win.

How is he only 31? Feels like Nino has been around forever. Hope this contract ages well, I’ve always enjoyed watching him play. Except in game 7s

With cap going up WPG won’t feel this at all
