There are going to be a lot of updates to the rules and important things to do such as waivers and setting up rosters coming up in the next couple weeks. All GMs should make sure that they are checking into CapFriendly as often as they can, ideally at least once per day. Also please make sure that you thoroughly read everything that the BOG is posting in this thread.
Everyone needs to post all of their signings as explained in this thread by Monday, September 24, failure to do so will will result in the forfeit of very high draft picks.

UPDATE TO SIGNING RULES
The rules for signing players have been very unclear in the past and a number of illegal signings have been made. The BOG apologizes for any signings that we have approved in the past that violate these rules.
1. College players may only be signed if:
a) they have completed four seasons in college and no other team holds their rights
b) they have been signed by professional team in real life and no other team holds their rights
c) they have been drafted in the GM game draft and you own their rights
2. Players in Europe may only be signed if:
a) they were born before September 15, 1996 and no other team holds their rights
b) they have been signed by a professional team in real life and no other team holds their rights
c) they have been drafted in the GM game draft and you own their rights
3. Players in the CHL may only be signed if:
a) they have been draft eligible for at least one draft and no other team holds their rights
b) they have been signed by a professional team in real life and no other team holds their rights
c) they have been drafted in the GM game draft and you own their rights
4. Players in Junior A, USHL or High School may only be signed if:
a) they have been signed by a professional team in real life and no other team holds their rights
b) they have been drafted in the GM game draft and you own their rights
EDIT: For the purpose of determining which team a player is playing for, use their team for the current season with the cutoff of the first game of the NHL season.
Please go over all of your signings to make sure that they are legal signings according to these rules. If you have any illegal signings on your team, please remove them from your team and the "Compiling Signings" thread,
Failure to do so by Monday, September 24 at midnight EST may result in forfeiture of draft picks.
