So i would like to thank the one that responded with respect and constructive comment. I feel for all Habs fan that got roasted real bad over the past couple month. Cheer everyone!

This illustrate how much value this player have and that the return will be oustanding if he where to be move. Tampa Bay have already established a precedent by spending assets on specific players and not on superstars. Since most of the competing team already have tons of talent he might very well be the ultime players to acquire for a deep playoff run. This is what it will cost to acquire Lehkonen. Montreal won’t just gave him away for no reason. Team will have to OVERPAY

Lehkonen is a defensively responsible 3rd line forward who puts up 25 to 30 points a year. I don't know in what realm that's worth a first or even more than a first. IMO he's worth a 3rd + a good prospect and at best a 2nd depending on what the market looks like. Anything more is a bad move by any GM.

Yeah, I like EOTP too but the best rumours from reliable sources we've had is around a 1st/Goodrow type deal

I saw the chart comparing him to Coleman and while the analytics are similar rn if we look at the production values they are far different. Along with contract which sometimes needs to be noted.

Coleman was making 1.8mill for a season and a half and had 21 goals in NJ. Lehkonen is a solid defensive winger but at 7 goals and 12 assists asking for a 1st and A level prospect...yeah probs aint happening. Then you got contract negotiations to factor in as some teams dont like the headache as he may not want to extend with them.

That said I could see someone being crazy enough to offer a similar package to what Tampa did to get Goodrow. So basically Lehkonen and a 3rd go to team X and Montreal gets 2022 1st + Depth AHLer

Lmao, his trade to Tampa. Lehkonen is fairly comparable to Goodrow, both hard-working that can chip in, physical, can play the PK, etc
