Love this move by Treliving, we find another Luke Schenn who can play with Rielly. How many first round picks would Dubas have given up?

About as mid of a trade as it gets. The fact there is double retention seems to indicate that there is a larger deal coming. If this is the only move we make, then this TDL will be a complete failure.

I myself don't really like Boosh, but he costs less than league min and it only cost us 2 late picks in a weaker draft class. I can't even find anything to complain about here, its just such a "meh" deal. I guess if I had to pick a winner, I'd say the Ducks.

Rielly did well with Boosh the last time they were together

Its not crazy big assets (3rd and 6th less then what they gave the first time)

Hes coming at under league min once all ret is in place.

Im fine with it, not a super needle mover but considering the recent injury a necessary one

Also wont be the only move as they still got assets and cap space

Canes get a 6th rounder for just $687K in cap space? Canes still have $5.95M to work with. Not bad work if you can get it.

I mean why not, there’s already some chemistry since Boosh played here before, it’s not a crazy price, and he comes in 75% retained. The 75% retention also screams another move.

So yah, fair deal

Anaheim - got a 3rd for a #7 defender on a bad contract. massive W

Carolina - got a pick for eating cap space. W

I mean ANA really aint a great team defensively and when u looked at him on other teams he put up better results. Made sense why the numbers dropped

Going from 95% defense to 20 shows it and its not me whose saying but Jfresh

Getting a cheaper price on a Lada car that doesnt run isn't a good deal

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Same players, same result.

Ritchie's awful contract went the other way. He got Ilya for free in that trade TBH

In general this guy worked well with Mo last time. The pair had good enough results and Rielly still had a strong playoff performance

He does well with guys like this so dont question

His last 2 playoffs were with Schenn and Lybushkin not Brodie or any of the other guys

True but should not have put conditions to make it a 2nd. Also when u consider Ritchie rebounded in ARI it made it look worse.

Like Dubas in the end did pay more when we consider it all and nobody complained then due to Lybushkin having strong D numbers. He goes to ANA they tank and people go no this bad

Hes gonna have familiarity here, will probs be adjusted slowly, and would not surprise if the defense goes up again

I think this deal is fine, TOR never gave up a lot and addresses a need right now.

Plus he has played here before, so it's not brand new which may help. I wouldn't judge this too hard until we see Boosh in action on TOR.

I'm not overreacting until I see more. Getting him for under league min is great, no cap issues.

Plus Slepets is another indefinite expiration prospect, despite how much of a long shot he may be.

Lyubushkin is worth a 4th at best, and a 6th to retain less than a million for a fourth of a season is genuinely bad business. Really glad Brad Trepizza waited until it was absolutely dire to get a RHD, real good optics from him.

I don't believe this is the only deal Toronto is going to make this coming week but my god this is a horrible sign of things to come.

I mean not really as giving him 2.75m after a strong performance with MO feels kind of expensive

Schenn and Boosh got to thank MO for those deals lul
