Devils trade 2nd pick, Pavel Zacha, 2023 2nd round pick, and Chase Stillman to Canucks for JT Miller

Explanation: Reports are saying that the Canucks are interested in Zacha. Also reportedly the Devils have interest in acquiring Miller. Also as a lot of us know, the Devils are looking to move the 2nd overall pick for a star player. Not sure if Stillman was the right player to include in the deal, I constructed this deal similar to an Eichel package (1st and 2nd round pick, prospect, and roster player).

Ottawa trades 7th pick and 2022 2nd round pick to Columbus for 6th pick

Explanation: I read a post earlier saying that Ottawa is reportedly wanting to move up in the draft to select either Slafkovsky or Gauthier.

Anaheim trades John Gibson to Oilers for 29th pick, Raphel Lavoie and Tyson Barrie

Explanation: Reportedly the Ducks are frustrated with Gibson’s attitude on and off the ice. Also, to note is that Gibson is frustrated with the direction the Ducks are going at, a big retool. Note sure about the other assets included, but apparently the Oilers are trying to trade Barrie. Lavoie I’m not sure about though.

JT Miller is worth nowhere near that, the Devils would want someone like Boeser if they wanted to move 2, not Miller

I’d change our 2022 1st overall pick to a 2022 2nd round pick. That’s way to much for 1 year of Miller.

That’s an awful deal for the Devils. They shouldn’t even move 2nd overall for Miller straight up.

Have a hard time believing the Sharks would pass up on Lekkerimäki and pick Kemell instead. Not just because of the connection with Eklund, but because I think Lekkerimäki is better overall (I have him ranked higher than Kemell too).

I wouldn't call Chesley at 16 an off-the-board pick.

I wouldn't take Luneau in the 1st round in general, 18 is too high imo.

Of course I don't agree with everything else but this looks pretty good.

Yea it is a bit of a reach to most, but I have him ranked at 10th on my board. He's also the type of guy that Ottawa takes because they love drafting American-born players.

Lekkerimaki would be my pick if Kemell is already taken. For Chelsey, I do get why some people wouldn't call him an off-the-board pick. I just don't like his offensive potential and consistency. Right now he's 27th on my draft board.

I also don't have Luneau in my first round, but the Stars like taking bigger defenseman. While I do think Nelson and Casey are better players, they don't have the size that Luneau has.
