Don't think either player has much value.

NYR were banking on Kravtsov's draft position hype to get something, but I see they gave up and just wanted him gone to make room for P.Kane

Good pickup for taking advantage of Kravtsov's situation, hopefully he can get better in Vancouver. Still might not stay in the NHL, but smart low risk move by Alvin.

I've long said on here that I wouldn't even want Kravtsov for free. My take has not changed. One of the players I have least wanted for a long while is now a Canuck.

Vancouver wins by a landslide.
Frees up a contract spot though for Patrick Kane. Can’t wait to see a second New York trade if you know what I mean

Maybe a change of scenario will turn things around for Kravtsov? If not, then he will return to the KHL and who cares? The Canucks gave up a player who was good in the AHL, but no more than injury insurance in the NHL and a 7th a few years from now. That's as close to nothing as you can get without calling it "Future Considerations".

Canucks fan here... Lockwood's potential is NHL Insurance. You can get a dozen of those during free agency for league min without effort. The 7th is 2026... 2026!!! is worth even less. The Abby Canucks got a little weaker and will be looking to sign someone to a PTO soon.
