WPG masterclass, they had little to no leverage with MTL and turned it into a HUGE package for Dubois

but MTL's 2024 2nd being in the deal is funny

It feels like the Jets won this, however it'll might turn out fair if PLD becomes the player he could be... you never know

Chevaldayoff finally makes a move and it’s a great one for Winnipeg. Iafallo is so underrated and fills out the roster for WPG.

Pretty fair deal for both sides. The equivalent offer sheet would have been 4 1st round picks, which is about the value going to WPG. Solid return for a guy who requested a trade

Jokes aside, what an incredible deal by Chevy. He was backed into a corner with a player who didn't want to be here and was able to get a very very good return. Jets fans, you can't be disappointed with this!

damn Cheveldayoff cooking frfr, if he can get positive returns like that for guys like Hellebuyck and Scheiffle then maybe the Jets won't be in such a pinch. Good work.

If Vilardi goes back to what he was 2 years ago this deal could get ugly fast for WPG

They need to pray they get this years guy

Honestly surprised Kaliyev wasnt a part of this deal as that guy needs a change of scenerry. Would have put Heinola in on WPG side and added Kaliyev

Blake never believed in a rebuild. Bergevin probably convinced Rob to take PLD and he pocketed some cash with his buddy, agent, Pat Brisson. Thank god Bergevin is gone and PLD stays away!

I’m sorry Kings fans this is a brutal price. Villardi was more than enough.

I think PLD is a good get for LA and their spine next year is scary good but this was a fantastic job by Chevy

WPG got a good package, but this trade heavily relies on Vilardi being able to repeat his breakout season, if he doesn't I think this is a major W for LA. Kupari is just okay imo, the 2nd is solid, Iafallo is solid but also a 4 million dollar 3LW so not idea for roster construction salary wise.

LA gets a high 60 point 2nd line center and trades a pick and guys they couldn't keep affording long term anyway.

Is $8.5 x 8 a lot for a guy who's never cracked 30 goals, and who's career high in points is 63? That seems like a lot.

All in all, high risk trade for Rob Blake and the Kings.

Dubois still has the tools to become an elite player in the league, but he hasn’t exactly shown that as of late, and his new contract puts plenty of constraints on building a competitor this season.

Vilardi seems to have turned the corner, but evidently his long term health is still a touchy subject. Based on this season I’d rather have him, but who knows how much of a step back/forward either player takes going forward.

Iafallo, Kupari and a 2nd is an unholy overpayment on top.
