I hate to try and make this post about the Blackhawks during a time that the Blackhawks are a focus in the league for all the wrong reasons… but how did Seth Jones cost so much more than Jack Eichel?

Eichel's value has tanked pretty severely, but I'm still surprised that Buffalo couldn't get more for a player of his calibre.

yeah I talked **** about Eichel asking price being too high - but its sad no one could beat this offer

Underwhelming return for a superstar in Eichel even if :
1) you're high on Krebs
2) you're scared of Eichel injury
3) you think Tuch can be a top line player

I think Krebs could turn into the next Nick Suzuki. And I could see that this trade turns into a sabres win. But I could see it both ways.

Buffalo instead ..............................................................got 2 first round picks + 1 roster player.



The difference between Vegas' 2nd and Buffalo's 3rd is not a roster player.

This is mighty unfortunate for the sabres. It seems that everyone they've traded in the past year they've been ripped off almost every time... except for Risto surprisingly

Given the 5hitshow this Eichel situation has been, I think that's a decent return for Sabres. Fair-ish deal.

Thank god Vegas didn’t send Theodore as others were rumouring. Good luck with this guy. Also glad Calgary didn’t do this trade.
